I spent most of today holed up in the very warm apartment reading Gone Girl, a recently popular thriller that Amazon recommended to me.
Later, I had a brief one or two hours where I worried that I was actually a sociopath. I’ve been doing a lot “Who am I?” and “What am I doing with my life?” questioning this summer, so this was the next logical step after discovering my ESTJ preferences. [More on this in a post to come.]
I decided that I was not, in fact, a sociopath and went to get ice cream with Tarita, her homestay sister, and her homestay sister’s friend.
They asked if we had Baskin Robbins in the US and were surprised to hear that it is an American company.
I have to admit–I was rather distressed by the picture above. I feel like it shows how much weight I have gained this summer. (Cap sleeves and stress-eating, you will be the death of me!)
And thus, I become one of those girls who insist on retaking photos. However, I do not usually delete photos of myself on principal, so here I am, showing both. In this one, my arms look less ham-like, but I have an extremely awkward stance.
Tarita looks great in both photos.
Homestay mom told me the Olympics would be on at 8pm tonight, but as it turns out, the opening ceremonies will not be broadcast until 5am on Saturday. I can’t watch them in the living room because it will wake everyone in the apartment up. I am so bitter and sad.
