“This job sounds awesome! I will find the company website.”

Reading the job description:

Mica reading

“Bingo, qualifications section.”

Having self-doubts:

Self-doubting Mica

“Hmmm, three+ years experience.”

Or finding out that I am ineligible:

Sad Mica

“Must have EU citizenship.”

Becoming demoralized:

Demoralized Mica

“My degrees are meaningless! I can’t apply for anything!”

Picking myself up again:

New idea Mica

“I am good at making friends. More connections!”

Unrelated–Paying $220 for a non-refundable German textbook that isn’t even bound:

Angry Mica

  1. Ha ha ha ha! Love this. Especially the non-related textbook. I was just talking to a friend who is taking classes at the local community college… and by talking, I mean, we were bitching about how $$$ books are/were (when I was in school).
