I lost my wallet on campus on Wednesday, so I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off, canceling cards and getting new IDs and whatnot. (Oh, and I’ve also been giving oral proficiency tests to the 293080342900 international students arriving on campus.)
Last night, Aileen and Sarah Hauser (and her boyfriend Miles) met up with me and Kya. Having all had rough weeks, we spent most of the evening discussing morbid things like people jumping in front of trains and falling over the edge at Niagara Falls.
Sometimes, I road rage in bars.
Sadly, tonight was Aileen’s last night in Champaign before she jets off for a year-long teaching position in Québec. Because I show my love through food, I brought cake-batter rice krispy treats .
Then we were inspired to fence with the plastic knives I found:
A bientôt Aileen! Tu me manqueras!
(Also, thanks to Dan for pulling me out of my funk and for making me bruschetta and Caesar salad for girls’ night.)
Last weekend of “freedom.” Good thing I will be testing more students tomorrow….

Glad the wallet debacle has been attended to. Have a great week next week.
Love,
Tap and Ydnar
