By the time I publish this post, I should be done with the semester! I’m still waiting on one student paper in order to finish grades, but all of my papers and exams are done. It feels great!
As my dad would say sing:
“V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N in the summer time!”
I worked hard to get everything done so that I could enjoy my evening of Korean cooking with my friend SooHyun. To thank me for “training” her for the 10K, she invited me over for some Korean dinner.
She had seafood udon soup:
I helped make seafood pancakes:
They’re nice and chewy:
Soo is the most adorable person ever. Tomorrow, she has a very long hair-straightening appointment at our local Korean salon. She suggested that I drop by during her long wait so that I can get my hair cut too. I could definitely use one…
In running news, it is the last taper week. The Cleveland Marathon is this weekend, holy crap! I feel pretty undertrained and underprepared, but there isn’t anything that I can do. Similarly, I can’t do anything about the weather, so I’m trying not to worry about the 60% chance of “thundershowers.”
At this point, I’m hoping that Aileen, Jessica, and I just have a great time!

congrats on being DONE!!!! yayyy. & best of luck on your marathon. you will do swell, I’m sure! all that training is going to pay off big time. if you need more motivation, I highly recommend the new Brit Spears album. tehehe. it’s currently rotating thru my running mix.
I’m thinking about running the Indy Monumental full marathon in November, mostly b/c of the perks of cold weather + flat course…
vacation time! baking, games, sleeping in, pancakes! oh yeah, and that marathon thing….
Hooray for the end of the semester.
Have a great time this weekend
Hope your finals went well and now you can celebrate by running a marathon!!! Have fun girl
Yay for being done!!!!
Also, it looks like you and Soo made quite the meal. Yum.
Is anyone not terrified before a marathon? Doesn’t everyone feel underprepared? I think it goes with the territory.
congrats on being done for the semester! that’s super exciting.
and wait…why does soo have to get her hair straightened?!
i love seafood pancakes!!! gimme the recipe! do you make the sauce that you dip it in?
